About the Marlins
Bur-Mil Marlins Swim Team is a competitive swim program for children ages 5-18. The minimum skill requirement for participation is the ability to swim one length of the pool without stopping (25 meters). The Marlins participate in 4-5 dual meets each season. The season wraps up with a final competition called City Championship Meet, a 3-day event where all swimmers in Greensboro's Community Swim Association compete against one another. Participation in the City Championship is optional.

Costs
  • The cost to join the swim team is $50 per child due at the time of registration.
  • Participation in the City Championship is $5 per child. This fee is due later in the season once you decide if you want to participate.
  • Team swim suits are optional. Children may wear their own suits so long as they are appropriate for competitive swimming. You will have the opportunity to try on Bur-Mil's Team Suit at the Parent's meeting on April 27. Checks for suits must be made payable to Augusta Swim Supply.

Eligibility of Swimmers
  • CSA requires swimmers to attend one or more practices the week before a meet.
  • A swimmer must participate in at least one dual meet to be eligible for the CSA Championship meet.
  • 19 year olds may participate in CSA meets the first season after his/ her graduation from high school.
  • In dual meets, swimmers can swim a maximum of 3 individual events and no more than 2 relays.
